In a nutshell, we take a step back and look at the WHOLE picture. Fibromyalgia is a neuro-metabolic problem, NOT a muscle problem. We use advanced testing to measure the hormone system, gastrointestinal system, nervous system, immune system, and endocrine-energy system to determine the functional shfits that have occurred.

Who Is This Program For?
In 2006 the Boydston Institute's Fibromyalgia Neuro-Metabolic Solutions Program was born. It was engineered from the bottom up to serve and help patients with fibromyalgia to regain their health, happiness, and vibrancy.
It was created for the patient who knew that a pill would never fix the cause or restore function to their body, and are willing to be pro-active in regaining the quality of their lives. We believe that our members deserve to be understood, be treated with the utmost respect, and be cared for in a comprehensive, whole person approach, that utilizes the best of functional physiology driven care.
Those who apply and are admitted into the Boydston Institute's Fibromyalgia Neuro-Metabolic Solutions Program tend to share this view, and seek to be proactive and in control of their healthcare, and regain independence, pain-free daily living, and vibrancy and zest for life. Our members opt to end their pain and fatigue, not by attempting to ignore the pain with pain pills and drugs like Lyrica, Savella, or Hydrocodone, but by identifying the underlying causes of dysfunction in the brain, hormone system, immune system, and GI system that are creating the symptoms, and correcting the dysfunction with our neuro-metabolic approach.
Today, based on these founding priciples, we help hundreds of members from all across Central California, and members worldwide who choose to travel to our Institute, or work with us long distance, end their fibromyalgia pain and fatigue, and restore their health.
A typical member of the Boydston Institute's Neuro-Metabolic Solutions Program has explored traditional medical treatment for fibromyalgia which is usually nothing more that a cocktail of pain medications, anti-depressants, and anti-seizure medications. They have travelled to famous diagnostic medical institutions such as Sansum Clinic, Stanford Medical, and the Mayo Clinic. Their list of failed therapies include medical hormone treatment, pain injections, physical therapy, and traditional chiropractic care. They know that a symptom patch up job is at best temporary relief, and at worse will lead to a worsening of their condition and quality of life.

How Do I Apply For The Neuro-Metabolic Solutions Program?
Due to the very customized nature of the program, the number of new members admitted into into our Neuro-Metabolic Solutions program is extremely limited.
To be accepted as a member of the program, you must complete a very thorough case history application, and have an initial 45 minute consultation that will determine final admittance.
Because the limited number of new member case review's and initial consultations we can accommodate in a month, we want to ensure that only the most qualified applicants, the ones most likely to be admitted and have success in the program, to occupy these new member slots.
So if you feel that you would be a good fit for our program and you wish to have your case considered, before we can assign you a case review and new member 45 minute consultation, you must first submit a pre-consultation questionnaire and have an initial 10-minute phone consultation with the doctor.
To Schedule Your Pre-Examination Phone Consultation:

- Dr. Boydston will personally review your questionnaire responses.
- Celia, our new member coordinator, will call you the next business day, and assign you the next available phone consultation. (This may require some flexibility on your part since their will only be certain times set aside for these phone consultations.)
- If after reviewing your questionnaire responses, Dr. Boydston feels you are definitely not a good candidate for the program, when Celia calls she will inform you at that time and will not assign a phone consultation in those cases.
- During this short phone consultation Dr. Boydston will ask questions based off of your questionnaire to determine if he feels that you would be a good applicant for the program. This also gives you an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.
At the end of the call, if Dr. Boydston feels you would have a high chance for success in the program, you will be assigned a complete case review and 45 minute initial consultation which will ultimately determine final admittance into the program.

Why Is There No Charge For The 10 Minute Pre-Examination Phone Consultation?
In the past, before we started conducting the pre-examination phone consultations, we identified three main reasons why someone who would ultimately qualify for the program, did not take the first step:
- They knew that we are highly selective in our application process, and they are worried that they may not be accepted into the program after going through the entire application and examination.
- They feared paying for the examination and then finding out that they just weren't a good fit for the program.
- They had just a couple questions that they would like to ask before they take the first step in our program.
Because one of these three reasons kept people from potentially getting the help and lifechanging experience they deserved, we solved all of the above problems with a simple 10 minute phone consulation at no charge.
By utilizing this free 10 minute phone consultation patients wouldn't be assigned a full examination and go through the full application process unless we felt they had a high chance for success. It also allowed the potential new member to ask those couple of questions they needed to have answered. It was the best of both worlds for us and for them. So for all of these reasons there is currently no charge for this initial 10 minute pre-examination consultation.
